Industrial Placement Digital Intelligence Electronic Engineer
Join BAE Systems in Great Baddow for a 12-month industrial placement as a Digital Intelligence Electronic Engineer. You will be part of a team delivering advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace, and security solutions, contributing to a safer future.
This role offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, with an expectation to attend the site 3-5 days per week.
Role Description:
As an Electronic Engineer, you will design and develop analogue and digital electronics, VHDL, and embedded/low-level software for a wide range of electronic systems. You will be integral in delivering cutting-edge solutions that protect and empower global security.
Core Duties:
- Contribute to the full engineering lifecycle, from client engagement through to hardware design and manufacture.
- Implement complex signal processing algorithms in VHDL.
- Design switch mode power supplies, work on low-power embedded systems, and develop ruggedized devices for challenging environments.
- Assist colleagues in proposing new ideas to clients.
- Manage multiple assignments independently, with support from colleagues.
- Carry out research, data collection, and analysis.

Qualification Requirements:
As a minimum requirement, you will need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Maths, or Physics.
Contract Length: 12 months
Start Date: 21st June 2027
End Date: 16th June 2028
