About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an A330 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join the Airbus Defence and Space (AD&S) Final Assembly Line team in Getafe, Madrid, working a double shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- As part of the Final Assembly Line (FAL) A330 MRTT Flight Line Centre - AG4 team, prepare, perform, and certify base and line maintenance works as a B1 certifying staff.
- Assist a small group of non-licensed technicians when required.
- Prepare aircraft for flight by implementing items from the Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) issued by Flight Operations.
- Carry out production works on aircraft for ground tests, managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL-Quality.
- Provide support during the execution of ground and flight tests.
- Perform retrofit mechanical works and tests on aircraft in accordance with applicable service bulletins or job cards.
- Fix aircraft discrepancies, perform trouble-shooting, handling, and servicing.
- Be willing to work abroad at AD&S customer sites during aircraft deliveries, support ground & flight test campaigns, and implement Service Bulletins on site.
- Undertake aircraft conversion works at AD&S subcontractor premises.
- Support the A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO when required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Mandatory: Aircraft maintenance license EASA PART 66 category B1 with an Airbus A330 aircraft rating (RR TRENT 700 & GE CF6) without limitations.
- Highly Recommended: Possession of a valid EASA PART 66 category B2 aircraft maintenance license with an A330 rating.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an Airbus aircraft maintenance environment.
- At least 2 years of experience working on A330 (RR TRENT 700) and/or (GE CF6).
- Ability to demonstrate up-to-date aircraft continuous training and experience according to EASA regulations.
- Fluent level of English and a negotiation level of Spanish.
- Willingness to work abroad for limited periods on a regular basis.
- Experience working to high quality standards and understanding of work recording and job traceability.
- Experience reading and understanding detailed technical data, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and instructions in English.
- High knowledge of Aircraft Health and Safety procedures.
- Good standard of computer literacy.
