About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an A330 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join Airbus Defence and Space (AD&S) in Getafe, Madrid. You will be an integral part of the AD&S Final Assembly Line (FAL) A330 MRTT Flight Line Centre - AG4 team, operating on a double-shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, perform, and certify base and line maintenance works as B1 certifying staff, collaborating with non-licensed technicians when required.
- Prepare aircraft for flight by implementing Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) items issued by the Flight Operations organization.
- Carry out production works on aircraft for ground tests, managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL Quality.
- Perform aircraft discrepancy fixing, troubleshooting, handling, and servicing.
- Conduct retrofit mechanical works and tests in accordance with applicable service bulletins or job cards.
- Support A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO aircraft when required as part of the Flight Line Centre - AG4 organization.
- Be willing to work abroad at AD&S customer sites during aircraft delivery, support ground & flight test campaigns, implement Services Bulletins on site, and perform aircraft conversion works at subcontractors' premises.
Skills and Experience Required
- Mandatory: Aircraft maintenance license EASA PART 66 category B1 with an Airbus A330 aircraft rating (RR TRENT 700 & GE CF6) without limitations.
- Highly Recommended: Possession of a valid EASA PART 66 category B2 aircraft maintenance license with an A330 rating.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an Airbus aircraft maintenance environment.
- At least 2 years of experience working specifically with A330 (RR TRENT 700) and/or (GE CF6) aircraft.
- Ability to demonstrate up-to-date aircraft continuous training and experience in accordance with EASA regulations.
- Fluent level of English.
- Negotiation level of Spanish.
- Willingness to work abroad for limited periods on a regular basis.
- Experience working to high quality standards, with an understanding of work recording and job traceability.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding detailed technical data and manufacturer’s maintenance manuals and instructions in English.
- High knowledge of Aircraft Health and Safety procedures.
- Good standard of computer literacy.
- Willingness to obtain National and NATO clearance (Habilitación Personal de Seguridad - HPS).
- Holding of national and NATO security clearance (SC) will be highly appreciated.
