SHE Advisor

About the Role

This is an opportunity to influence SHE performance across a large and complex operational environment, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and business teams at either our Warton or Samlesbury site. You’ll play a key role in promoting a positive SHE culture, managing risk, and ensuring high standards of compliance, whilst building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Core Duties

• Provide competent SHE advice and support across operational and functional areas.
• Lead and support SHE activities including audits, reviews, investigations, and assurance activities.
• Manage site compliance with relevant SHE standards, policies, and legal requirements.
• Support risk assessment activities and promote effective risk management principles.
• Produce and analyse SHE performance data, reports, and management information.
• Coach, support, and influence stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in SHE performance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience providing Safety, Health & Environmental advice within a business environment.
• Good understanding of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Experience supporting SHE management systems and compliance activities.
• Ability to manage a varied workload across multiple priorities and projects.

Working closely with business leaders, operational teams, and support functions, the team plays a vital role in maintaining compliance, improving performance, and fostering a positive safety culture across our sites.

Security and Export Control

These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
