Join BAE Systems in Scotstoun, a site-based role where you'll be an integral part of a growing multidisciplinary team. Reporting directly to the Senior Commissioning Team Lead, you will collaborate with global stakeholders and attend key Equipment Acceptance events, directly contributing to the successful delivery of the Type 26 programme. Core Duties:

• Perform the electrical Set to Work for all T26 Platform Equipment, from Gas Turbines, Gearboxes, and Generators to Individual Pumps, Fans, and Instrumentation.
• Maintain ships' live systems electrical safety by managing permits and energisation programmes under strict safe systems of work policies.
• Attend all ships sea trials, demonstrating major machinery to the client and acceptance authorities.
• Conduct fault finding and technical investigations into design issues.
• Author test and acceptance documentation for all ship platform systems to be used and demonstrated to naval authorities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum qualification of HNC Level in an engineering discipline. Extensive experience will be considered where academic qualifications are not met.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-discipline, fast-paced environment with strong communication skills for engaging with internal and external customers.
• Expertise in complex Ships Systems Fault Finding and Resolution for Set to Work.
• Ability to read and understand technical electrical engineering drawings and manuals for complex equipment.
• Engineers should hold relevant STEM qualifications and work towards Incorporated or Chartered status through a recognised professional institution. Support will be provided for accreditation, with preference given to professionally registered candidates.

The T26 Platform Commissioning Team:

The T26 Platform commissioning Team operates in a fast-paced environment offering exciting prospects and high levels of responsibility. The team is tasked with energising all ships' platform systems, setting them to work, and ultimately delivering an operational T26 Frigate to the Royal Navy through a series of sea trials. This includes the operation and demonstration of all platform systems, such as Diesel Generators, Propulsion Motors, Platform Management Systems, and all Ships Auxiliaries, up until the point of handover.
