We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to ensure all subsystem functions, interfaces, software, and test requirements are clearly defined, accurately documented, and aligned with FESS release requirements. This role involves managing and reviewing design artefacts in accordance with the Engineering Management Plan, ensuring they meet quality standards and programme timescales.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical analysis to resolve design issues.
- Manage Query Notes and Change Requests through appropriate processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop concepts and support new capabilities.
- Capture and interpret customer requirements to ensure they are fully understood and translated into effective technical solutions.
Core Duties:
- Apply core engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and environments.
- Utilise Microsoft Office and digital tools for analysis, reporting, and communication.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of configuration management toolsets for data accuracy and traceability.
- Employ a disciplined, structured approach to recording findings and producing high-quality documentation.
The ESS System Design Team:
You will join the ESS System Design Team, responsible for designing and supporting the Engineering Support System (ESS) for the Typhoon aircraft. ESS is a mission-critical maintenance tool that enables the safe and effective operation of Typhoon. This role is key to delivering future engineering support through the Typhoon FESS programme within a highly collaborative team working on systems that directly impact front-line aircraft availability and performance.
