About the Role
Boeing is seeking a motivated individual to join our Aerospace Innovation Centre (AIC) as a 3-month Project Management Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support an Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme, developed in collaboration with leading industry partners and academic institutions.
You will play a key role in coordinating programme activities focused on storage, distribution, and structures integration technologies, driving innovation from research to practical application. Working within a collaborative and diverse engineering environment, this position contributes to the successful planning and delivery of activities aligned with Boeing’s innovation and technology objectives.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement an innovative automated workflow solution within Boeing’s project management tools to support live programme updates, real-time data, and project management best practices.
- Support the project management team with the planning, coordination, and day-to-day delivery of the Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme.
- Assist the team in tracking project schedules, milestones, action items, and deliverables to ensure workstreams remain on time and aligned with programme goals.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes, and follow up on actions with internal teams, industry partners, and academic collaborators.
- Organise and maintain project documentation, presentations, status updates, and other programme records to ensure clear communication and effective project execution.
- Support the project management team by fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Gain practical experience in project management within an advanced aerospace innovation environment while supporting the successful delivery of research and technology objectives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Right to work in the UK. Boeing does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a degree in Project Management, Business Management, or a related field, or have attained an industry-recognised project management qualification.
- Basic understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, tracking actions, and supporting delivery against milestones.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting, presentations, and general project coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, cross-functional environment supporting multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms is desirable.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet solutions is a plus.
