The Role
The successful candidate will join the Boeing Global Services Programme Management team in the UK. This junior role focuses on managing the post-delivery modification of aircraft for our customers. Projects typically involve integrating new equipment such as seating, IFE equipment, and galleys. You will work closely with Engineering, Airworthiness, and Supply Chain teams to ensure projects are delivered within agreed schedule and budgetary constraints, while managing multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary company contact for worldwide airline customers.
- Assist Senior Programme Managers with delivery schedules, quality standards, and financial controls from project award to final delivery.
- Identify and manage programme risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Support Senior Programme Managers in leading internal programme teams.
- Coordinate internal activities to ensure tasks align with programme requirements.
- Assist with customer milestone meetings (e.g., ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI) and compile minutes and action plans.
- Communicate customer expectations and requirements to the Engineering team.
- Provide weekly status updates, milestone schedules, and risk analysis summaries.
- Communicate programme status, financial viability, and key issues to senior management.
- Manage customer change requests and support proposals for schedule and cost impacts.
- Initiate invoicing for project payments and follow up as required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Right to work in the UK. Boeing does not sponsor employment visas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Studying or graduated from a STEM-related degree.
- Proficient in MS Office applications; MS Project knowledge is advantageous.
- Previous experience in aircraft modification, integration, or engineering projects is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to travel, sometimes at short notice.
- Ability to work independently with some oversight from senior team members.
Important Information
This position is for a locally hired role in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the UK. Boeing will not provide immigration or labor sponsorship.
Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
