About the Role
Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within the financial operations or overhead and rates teams, supporting critical BDUK business areas and defence contracts.
What You Will Do
As a Finance Intern, you will be immersed in real-world financial tasks. Depending on your team placement, responsibilities may include:
- Financial Operations (Fin Ops): Support control account managers, liaise with project managers for forecasting, provide variance analysis, and contribute to Estimate at Complete (EAC) calculations for assigned contracts.
- Overhead and Rates: Act as a business partner to functional areas, assist with overhead and G&A forecasts, track actuals against budget, and support variance analysis. You will also help produce monthly reports on overhead recovery and rates, and support month-end close processes.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK. Boeing does not sponsor visa applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Finance-related degree with an anticipated 2:1 or above.
- A desire to pursue professional qualifications (e.g., CIMA/ACCA) post-university.
- Proactive attitude with a strong desire for learning and self-development.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel).
- Confidence in presenting data and ideas to senior stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to first-time quality.
