Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) by conducting scheduled inspections, servicing, and maintenance across building fabric, mechanical, electrical, and safety systems to ensure operational reliability and minimise downtime.
- Respond effectively to reactive maintenance issues, diagnosing faults promptly and executing efficient repairs to maintain safe and fully operational facilities, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Support statutory compliance by assisting with the completion of statutory inspections, testing, and servicing (e.g., fire safety systems, water hygiene, electrical checks), ensuring meticulous record-keeping and documentation.
- Undertake first-line repairs and minor works, including adjustments and small improvement projects, to uphold high standards of building condition and functionality.
- Assist in the supervision and coordination of external contractors on-site, providing escorts and ensuring work is performed safely, to specification, and in accordance with agreed procedures.
About You
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in facilities or building maintenance.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation (e.g., COSHH, LOLER, PUWER).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across multiple systems.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- IT literacy for using maintenance management systems (e.g., CAFM).
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as PAT Testing, Working at Height, or First Aid are desirable.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role and must be a Sole UK National. Please note that eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and residency status.
