About the Role
Join BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness as a Senior Engineer focusing on Systems Engineering (Requirements). This hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite per week, offers a significant opportunity to contribute to pioneering progress and protect what matters most by delivering advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace, and security solutions.
Core Duties
- Provide subject matter expertise in the development of engineering requirements, understanding their impact on other functional areas and the wider business.
- Offer guidance, specialist knowledge, and expertise in developing tasks, qualification plans, and strategies supporting requirements development and management activities.
- Undertake requirements activities from planning through delivery and implementation of recommendations.
- Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the correct tools and documentation, and endorsed by the appropriate authority.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to enhance domain knowledge and expertise, ensuring stakeholder engagement and agreement on baselined requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers and support the engineering management team in planning and controlling specialist activities.
