About the Role
Cavendish Nuclear is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our team at the Sellafield site, located near Seascale and Egremont, Cumbria. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week.
As an E&I Technician, you will play a vital role in our operations, ensuring the integrity and functionality of essential equipment. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of Radiation Protection Instruments, guaranteeing that critical systems adhere to the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, calibrate, and test radiation protection instruments to meet customer work demands.
- Maintain instructions and record information accurately.
- Conform to local procedures, rules, and working practices to ensure compliance with specified regulatory and customer requirements.
- Provide technical advice, updates on work progress, and other relevant information to customers.
- Act as a mentor for other team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to ensure standards and best practices are maintained.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.
- Proven experience in servicing electronic instrument systems.
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification.
- Apprenticeship or equivalent training in a relevant discipline (e.g., Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology).
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
