The Role
As a Workshop Technology Trainer, you will be instrumental in delivering practical engineering training to military students at the Defence School of Electronic and Mechanical Engineering. Working within a skilled and supportive team, you will equip learners with the fundamental technical skills crucial for their careers in the Armed Forces. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver practical workshop training covering core engineering skills such as fitting, drilling, and grinding.
- Prepare and develop effective teaching and learning materials to support course delivery.
- Provide support and guidance to students throughout their training to ensure successful completion.
- Assess the progress of learners and offer constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and productive learning environment within the workshop facilities.
This is a full-time, permanent role based on-site at MOD Lyneham, requiring 37 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday.
Essential Experience
- Proficiency in using measuring and calibration tools, including gauge blocks and slip gauges.
- Experience in manufacturing and fabricating according to engineering drawings.
- Strong craft and technical abilities.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this position.
