Graduate Programme 2027: Weapon Systems Algorithms Engineer
As an Algorithm Engineer, you will be responsible for building the digital core of our products. Your role involves developing and optimizing algorithms within weapon systems across the entire MBDA portfolio. Within the Weapons System Algorithms & Performance (WSAP) team, your innovative solutions and ideas will directly influence emerging and future technologies.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the rapidly expanding Weapon Systems Design division, providing specialist technical support at a system level for high-profile projects such as Future Combat Air System (FCAS), STRATUS, and DragonFire. The WSAP department excels in developing cutting-edge algorithms, mathematically evaluating product performance, and collaborating with future business teams to infuse technical excellence into our forward-thinking concepts.
We leverage leading technologies and tools, including deep reinforcement learning and test-driven algorithm development, to deliver optimized weapon system solutions across MBDA's product lines. Throughout the programme, you will gain comprehensive insight into algorithm development, weapon system architecture, performance modeling, and early-stage concept development. As an Algorithms Engineer in WSAP, you will work directly with MBDA project teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of critical algorithm components for key programs.
Our algorithms team is currently engaged in developing routing algorithms for long-range strike weapons and enhancing operator decision-making capabilities.
