Warheads Engineer - Undergraduate Placement 2027
The Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence is the company's design authority for Warheads, supporting Warhead development throughout the product lifecycle. This includes concept design, design definitions, assessment, technical specification, test equipment, and maturity of concepts through to manufacture.
The team develops, designs, and tests Warheads for MBDA missiles, predicting lethal performance through advanced modelling and simulation of missile terminal engagements, target detection, Warhead detonation, and lethal performance prediction. We provide expertise in Warheads, energetic materials, target detection, and weapon lethality.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the team across various stages of the product lifecycle.
- Learn to produce detailed design definitions and conduct concept assessments using modelling simulations.
- Support the team in analysing and assessing performance data collected during trials.
- Assist in the design and planning for trials.

Placement Details:
- Duration: 1 year placement starting September 2027.
- Working Pattern: Dynamic working, 3-4 days per week on-site.
- Security Clearance: HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks will be required after offer stage.
