About the Programme
Planning is essential for our complex engineering projects, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time. This graduate programme offers a comprehensive introduction to demand, supply, and operations planning, driving efficiency and delivering smarter outcomes.
You will be involved in various aspects of planning, from supporting daily operations to contributing to long-term strategic decisions. This includes analysing material flows, managing supplier performance, addressing part shortages, and supporting production priorities. You may also prepare for Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise supply routes and refine forecasts.
Throughout the programme, you will work closely with experienced planners, engineers, and suppliers, building your confidence and developing a strong foundation in modern supply chain and planning practices within a fast-paced, business-critical setting.
Programme Structure
The two-year programme features three distinct placements designed to provide broad exposure to the planning lifecycle. Each rotation focuses on different elements of supply chain planning, illustrating the interconnectedness of demand, supply, and operations.
You will gain hands-on experience in core planning roles such as Production Planning and Material Planning, with potential exposure to areas like Integrated Business Planning and Master Production Scheduling. This variety is key to building practical skills, confidence, and identifying your career strengths and interests.

Career Progression
Upon successful completion of the programme, you will move into a permanent role within Supply Chain Planning. What You Need to Apply
You should have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and demonstrate a clear interest in supply chain management.
Security Clearance: Many of our programmes require Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions. For this programme, you must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance. Your eligibility may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency.
Location
This programme is based in our Marine sector at Rosyth, Fife, Scotland. Our Rosyth facility is a large, modern, waterside advanced manufacturing and repair site specialising in naval and commercial marine assets.
Agile working is supported, but on-site presence is required multiple times a week for operational planning. You must be able to reliably commute to Rosyth by your start date, which may involve relocating.
