Airbus Helicopters in Kassel-Calden is looking for a Structural Mechanic/GFK Specialist to support current and future projects. The Kassel-Calden maintenance center brings over 25 years of experience in Airbus Helicopters, focusing on high customer satisfaction through quality maintenance and upgrades to ensure helicopter availability and longevity.
Your Responsibilities:
- Execution of planned and unplanned maintenance measures.
- Reading technical drawings and implementing them on components.
- Laminating using the wet-on-wet manual lamination process.
- Repair of sandwich components.
- Removal of damaged honeycomb structures and their replacement with core filler or honeycomb.
- Preparation of wet laminates using the vacuum process.
- Removal of damaged inserts or similar components and their replacement with new parts.
- Sanding of adhesives and paints.
- Fitting GFK parts to the cell structure.
Your Qualifications:
- Completed vocational training (e.g., as an aircraft mechanic or in a comparable field) with additional specialized experience.
- Several years of experience in helicopter maintenance in a customer environment.
- Excellent communication skills for customer site deployments.
- Resilience and teamwork are essential.
- Fluent German and proficient English language skills.
