Internship Opportunity: Quality & AI Process Engineer (H/F)
Airbus Atlantic is seeking a motivated intern to join our Quality department at our Nantes site. This 6-month internship, starting in January 2027 (flexible), offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a global leader of aerostructures, pilot seats, and premium passenger seats.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
You will join a team of 33 professionals dedicated to the conformity and quality assurance of the A320 central wing box. Under the guidance of your tutor, you will be involved in:
- Mapping the Quality team's activities to identify Value-Added (VA) and Non-Value-Added (NVA) tasks.
- Evaluating and analyzing associated costs to pinpoint optimization opportunities.
- Proposing, designing, and testing AI-powered tools to reduce NVA tasks and optimize operational costs.
- Manipulating, structuring, and analyzing production data using our internal tools.
- Assisting the team in adopting new AI solutions and documenting the benefits achieved.
- Ensuring the sustainability and maintainability of the developed solutions.
Skills Developed During Your Internship:
- Quality & Industrial Performance Engineering: Process optimization methods (VA/NVA mapping) and industrial cost modeling.
- Industrial Data Science & AI: Big data processing on ERP/Foundry, development, and integration of AI use cases in aeronautics.
- Project Management & Change Management: End-to-end innovation project management, technical specification writing, and user adoption support.
- Engineering Mindset: Scientific approach to complex problem-solving, technical autonomy, and concise communication with management.
About You:
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree (Bac +5) in Industrial Engineering or Quality, with a strong interest in AI.
- Proficient in process mapping (VA/NVA analysis) and have a foundational understanding of industrial cost estimation.
- Familiar with the Palantir Foundry environment for data analysis and management.
- Skilled in Google Workspace and eager to utilize AI features (e.g., Gemini).
- Demonstrate a solid aptitude for AI technologies applied to industry.
- Possess strong curiosity, teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills.
- Intermediate English and fluent French language proficiency.
- Willingness to travel occasionally with your tutor.
