Internship in Mechanical Design for Landing Gear (M/F)

Your Mission:
An internship titled "Mechanical Design Internship for Landing Gear (M/F)" has opened within Airbus Operations SAS at its Saint Martin, Toulouse site. You will join the "1YLS3" department, responsible for the integration and support of landing gear for Airbus legacy programs and beyond.
Your internship will involve assisting the team in the analysis, study, and monitoring of hydromechanical improvements on landing gear, while also participating in the processing of in-service support requests. This internship has a duration of 6 months, ideally starting in March 2027 (this period is indicative and may be adjusted).
This internship requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and conduct kinematic and mechanical studies on landing gear components.
- Participate in the review and synthesis of internal and supplier technical documents.
- Assist the team in processing daily technical requests from airlines (operators) or final assembly lines (FALs).
Your tutor will support you throughout your internship, helping you develop your skills and achieve your professional goals.
Skills You Will Develop:
- Discovery and understanding of landing gear systems (architecture, operation, maintenance, and lifecycle).
- Understanding the functioning of a design office and the Airbus industrial environment.
- Introduction to technical investigation methods and root cause analysis.
- Practical application in hydromechanics, structural analysis, and environmental behavior.
Your Profile:
You are currently pursuing a Master's degree (Bac+5) in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Ideal Technical Skills:
- General mechanics (continuum mechanics, hydromechanics, kinematics)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Capacity to write summaries and technical reports

Languages:
- English: Negotiation level / Fluent
