About the Role & Mission Context

Modern aerospace propulsion architectures are increasingly designed for compact integration, leading to operating conditions characterized by degraded ventilation and high thermal dissipation. To continuously improve overall aircraft performance, Airbus is committed to deepening the physical understanding of these regimes where natural convection plays a predominant role.

Main Responsibilities

Within the “Propulsion Thermal and Ventilation” team, the candidate will directly contribute to the development, deployment, and validation of natural convection methodologies applicable to propulsion systems.

Key Objectives & Deliverables

  • Contribute to the deployment of advanced design methodologies by leveraging both 3D CFD simulations and 0D system modeling techniques.
  • Participate in the definition and implementation of methodological validation means to ensure high numerical fidelity and robustness.
  • Support the physical analysis and characterization of flows induced by Archimedean thrust in complex propulsion environments.

Your Work Environment

Toulouse, the world capital of aeronautics and European capital of space research, is a dynamic city in southwestern France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, and close to the Pyrenees, it offers numerous options for outdoor activities!

Your Boarding Pass

You are preparing a Bac+5 level engineering degree (or equivalent).

You possess the following skills:

  • Technical Skills: Thermal and aerodynamic modeling (0D/1D and/or 3D).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Autonomous, client-oriented.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English.

Our Recruitment Process

Your application will be reviewed by a recruiter. If your profile matches the key requirements of the position, you will be invited to complete a short video interview to discuss your background, motivations, and career project.
