About the Role
Boeing Training Solutions is seeking a passionate engineering intern to join the Simulator Engineering team at the Gatwick Training Campus. This role is integral to developing world-class flight crew training products for global customers, focusing on Boeing commercial Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs).
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in FSTD special projects, including developing aircraft simulation software models.
- Troubleshoot and resolve FSTD technical issues.
- Complete FSTD hardware and software updates.
- Perform verification and validation of simulator software changes.
- Support qualification and regulatory activities for FSTDs.
- Collaborate effectively with internal Boeing engineering teams, FSTD suppliers, flight training instructors, pilots, customers, and regulators.
- Be prepared to support ad-hoc night shift work, aligning with FSTD schedules and project demands.
Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK. Boeing does not sponsor employment visa status.
Preferred Skills:
- A strong interest in aviation.
- Currently pursuing an Engineering or Software degree.
- Experience with C/C++ software programming languages.
- Experience in aerospace engineering or avionics.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling.
- A private pilot license or a keen interest in flying.
Additional Information
Work Authorization: This position is for a locally hired candidate in the UK. Candidates must possess current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not provide immigration or labor sponsorship.
