We are seeking an ambitious Simulator Engineer to join our Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL/HIL) Team. This role focuses on engineering systems that simulate missile flight, involving the maintenance, fault-finding, improvement, and development of the specialized equipment required.
About the Facility
Our HWIL facility is at the forefront of missile testing, recreating flight conditions by integrating real missile hardware with complex, real-time simulations and specialist physical equipment. It is set to become the National Missile Evaluation Centre, making it a vital part of MBDA's Missile test track.
Your Role
You will work directly with advanced equipment including multi-axis flight motion simulators, antenna positioning systems, control equipment, and test hardware. As part of a small, multidisciplinary HWIL engineering team, you will ensure the safety, reliability, and availability of our simulator equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialist engineering environment, learn about missile testing and validation, and develop expertise across various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, controls, and simulation. The HWIL environment's diverse technologies provide considerable variety and opportunities to broaden your engineering experience alongside experienced professionals.
