About the Role
At MBDA, we design and develop missiles and missile systems that protect lives and secure airspaces globally. A crucial part of this process involves extensive simulation and modelling. As a Simulation and Modelling Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing these critical models, ensuring our products perform flawlessly from initial development through to field deployment. You will collaborate closely with other teams and partners to integrate their models into ours, subjecting them to numerous test suites to guarantee their suitability for further development.
What You'll Do
- Develop and validate high-fidelity models using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Partner with systems teams and other departments to bring complex simulations to life, ensuring design flaws are identified early.
- Use real-life data to tune and refine models for accurate real-world representation.
- Grow under the mentorship of senior engineers, expanding technical capabilities for future project challenges and career advancement.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate with a curious mind and a strong engineering foundation. An ideal fit would possess:
- A degree-level understanding of dynamic systems and/or mathematical modelling.
- Previous experience with modelling languages or programs.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as EWM or Git.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to discuss complex technical ideas with various stakeholders.

- Salary: Up to £42,500 depending on experience.
- Working Style: Dynamic (hybrid) working, with 4-5 days per week on-site.
