Senior Project Manager

About the Role

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile submarine hardware programme within our Defence business. This is a mission-driven opportunity to work at the forefront of engineering innovation, leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying the next generation of submarine hardware capability. What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the successful delivery of complex hardware design and qualification projects against agreed cost, schedule, and performance baselines.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and delivery partners.
• Manage project priorities and resolve issues and conflicts to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Maintain accurate financial forecasts, resource plans, and programme reporting.
• Provide regular updates on project performance, risks, opportunities, and progress to senior stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

We are interested in candidates who demonstrate:

• A proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects across the full design and development lifecycle.
• Significant experience managing internal and external stakeholders within complex programmes.
• A recognised project management qualification such as APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or equivalent.
• Experience within Defence, Maritime, Aerospace, or closely related highly regulated industries.
• Strong programme planning, financial management, and risk management expertise.
• A technical degree, engineering background, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
