Senior Network Engineer (eDV)

About the Role

As a Senior Network Engineer at QinetiQ's Malvern site, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and delivery of secure networking solutions that support critical defence programmes. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant minds and work with cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across all network-focused activities within projects and programmes.
• Support the design, development, and implementation of secure network infrastructure.
• Produce and maintain essential network documentation, including design specifications and configuration details.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, technical leads, and stakeholders to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Participate in technical reviews, change management, and configuration control processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in networking, offering guidance to colleagues and project teams.

Essential Experience

• Proven networking experience within enterprise, defence, or secure environments.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Solid understanding of network technologies, routing, switching, and core networking principles.
• Experience working effectively within project delivery lifecycles.
• Ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in providing technical leadership, guidance, or mentoring to engineering teams.

Essential Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent networking qualification and experience.
• Active eDV clearance is mandatory.

Working Hours and Location

This role is based at our Malvern site and involves 37 hours per week, with a minimum average attendance of three days per week on site.
