About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Technician at QinetiQ's West Freugh site, you will play a crucial role in the Capability Support team, focusing on trials mobilization, delivery, and conclusion to meet the strategic and operational objectives of the Range. You will be instrumental in providing Electrical Engineering support for trials delivery, equipment maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, and reactive maintenance, contributing to the success of the Range and site trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the setup and demobilization of trials infrastructure in compliance with trials instructions.
- Deliver specialist technical maintenance support and services for building plant/equipment and site services.
- Prioritize the work program to meet business needs effectively.
- Ensure robust application of health, safety, and environmental procedures and processes.
- Maintain high standards of maintenance and quality of work in alignment with the latest regulations.
- Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of allocated tasks.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in inspection, testing, and fault finding.
- Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Strong technical background with experience in maintenance schedules, installation, commissioning, and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of operational health & safety and safe working practices.
- Good knowledge and competency in other building services areas (BMS, mechanical).
- Proficiency with IT and basic software (Word, Excel) and experience with maintenance software packages.
Essential Qualifications
- Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Knowledge of Safety Acts and Regulations (Desirable).
