About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer at Northrop Grumman UK, you will be instrumental in our Infrastructure Team, guiding customers through the refactoring, replatforming, and rehosting of their mission-critical systems into AWS. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code and DevSecOps practices to foster transformation, enhance system reliability, reduce costs, and boost agility.

This role involves working with a diverse range of technologies and environments, directly contributing to national security missions and advancing cloud engineering at scale.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain AWS and hybrid-cloud systems.
  • Administer Linux and Windows-based environments.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IP networking across cloud and hybrid systems.
  • Automate deployment, operation, and maintenance tasks using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
  • Continuously expand your own skills, maintaining and enhancing relevant certifications.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
  • AWS certification at Practitioner or Associate level, with proven experience in designing and deploying cloud solutions.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows operating systems in large corporate environments.
  • Strong understanding of IPv4 networking, including subnetting and routing.
  • Experience automating tasks using tools such as Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, or Python.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with high-classification systems or within national security environments.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and Infrastructure as Code tooling.
