About the Role
At Babcock, we are dedicated to creating a safe and secure world. As a Security Officer at our Ashchurch site in Tewkesbury, you will play a crucial role in achieving this mission. This position is within our growing Mission Technologies business unit and requires dedicated individuals to provide essential, around-the-clock security cover.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities and informing staff and visitors of policy and procedures; deterring trespassers.
- Compiling detailed reports by recording observations, information, incidents, and surveillance activities.
- Ensuring the security, safety, and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
- Maintaining the environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
- Securing premises through regular patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry as required.
- Obtaining assistance by sounding alarms, including marshalling personnel during emergencies.
Working Hours & Location
This is a full-time, permanent role requiring 42 hours per week. The position is based at our Ashchurch site in Tewkesbury and operates on a rotating shift pattern: 4 working days, 4 days off, 4 working nights, 4 days off.
Experience & Qualifications
Previous security experience is preferred but not essential. We value diversity and are keen to hear from candidates who demonstrate the required level of experience or a strong willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. Please note that many positions within Babcock are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions, which may be influenced by your nationality, place of birth, current or former citizenship, and residency status.
