Quantity Surveying Graduate Programme
Embark on an exciting two-year graduate programme focused on Quantity Surveying at HM Naval Base Devonport, the largest naval base in Western Europe. You will play a vital role in the commercial management of major, long-term, multi-billion-pound infrastructure projects critical to the future needs of the Royal Navy.
Programme Structure and Experience
This comprehensive programme is structured into four six-month placements, providing a diverse range of project and team experiences. You will gain invaluable experience across the full commercial lifecycle, working under NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) and Professional Service Contract (PSC) terms. Responsibilities include supporting quotations, managing change, reviewing payment applications, and contributing to subcontract tendering and management. You will collaborate closely with the Ministry of Defence and our supply chain partners to ensure successful project delivery. This role offers exposure to complex, technically challenging projects, fostering the development of both your technical expertise and professional skills alongside experienced commercial teams.

Application Requirements
To be eligible for this programme, you must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, an accredited RICS degree in Quantity Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, or Construction Management (minimum 2:2), or a Masters in Quantity Surveying. Due to the nature of the work at HM Naval Base Devonport, you must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) clearance. This role may be subject to Trade Control restrictions and may require you to be a sole UK national. Location
This programme is based in Devonport, Plymouth. Our business in Plymouth partners with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and Royal Navy, providing essential support for submarines, surface ships, and associated systems. While agile working offers some flexibility, you can expect to spend several days a week on-site, with the balance varying based on project needs.
