Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Project Manager to join the Combat Training team. This role can also be considered for part-time employment with adjusted responsibilities.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Execution and leadership of projects concerning cost, time, and quality.
• Support in preparing bids and proposals.
• Schedule Management throughout project phases (e.g., Design, Development, Integration, Qualification, Acceptance, Contract Closure).
• Risk Management, including identification, analysis, evaluation, mitigation, monitoring, and control of project risks.
• Application of project management tools for creating, controlling, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Application and execution of Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Support in creating 'Estimates at Completion' (EAC) and project-related resource management (personnel, material, integration devices).
• Project-specific stakeholder management.
• Coordination of customers, partners, and suppliers for project-specific orders and tasks.
• Project progress monitoring based on metrics and KPIs to measure and review project performance and adjust project plans.
• Updating time and resource plans and incorporating them into regular reporting.
• Tracking and timely realization of project milestones (monetary and technical).
• Organization and leadership of regular project and risk reviews.
• Creation of regular project status reports.
• Management of dependencies between task/project plans and the integrated overall program plan.
• Creation of project management documentation.
• Execution and coordination of Maturity Gates to comply with Airbus Group business processes.
• Support in national price audits.
• Achievement of project objectives (milestones) to customer satisfaction and in accordance with internal and external rules and regulations.
• Definition, establishment, and promotion of the project team or organization, including employees from other functions (matrix organizations), across all project phases. Ensuring effective integration of lessons learned.
• Ensuring active management of risks, opportunities, and contracts (internal or external). Ensuring effective partner and supplier management.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Completed Master's degree in Engineering.
• PMP certification or comparable certification.
• Several years of professional experience in project and team management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Project, Confluence, and JIRA.
• Experience in military projects is desirable.
• Experience in simulation is desirable.
• Experience in an international project environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English and German language skills.
• Good coordination skills.
