About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Electronic Design Engineer to apply their expertise within the critical field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Radiation Effects (RE). You will be an integral part of our EMC Project Team, supporting MBDA programmes throughout their entire engineering lifecycle. This role specifically emphasizes design for EMC and RE, requiring a strong background in analogue and digital electronics design, ideally with an awareness or specialism in EMC and/or RF systems.

What You'll Do

  • Provide advice and guidance to project teams on the design of products to ensure they meet EMC requirements.
  • Be responsible for designing and producing test plans.
  • Develop bespoke electronic test solutions to support unique test capabilities.
  • Support the development of unique test capability for the state-of-the-art EMC Facility.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Higher education or significant experience in Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC, or similar fields.
  • Significant experience in Electronic Design, development, and delivery.
  • Experience in leading significant electronic design work packages.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong knowledge of electronic technologies.
  • Proficiency with SPICE simulation tools (e.g., LTspice, ORCAD).
  • Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget constraints.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously to meet company delivery needs.

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of EMC and design principles.
  • Knowledge in the application of military EMC standards to systems and sub-systems.

  • Salary: Up to £55,000, depending on experience/grade.
  • Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site.
