Project Leader Internship - Widebody Systems & Wing UK

Airbus is offering two exciting internship opportunities for aspiring Project Leaders to join the Widebody Systems & Wing UK Team. This internship is designed to develop your skills in Project and Programme Management within the crucial areas of Widebody Systems (including Landing Gear and Fuel) and Aircraft Wings. The Widebody Programme UK team, responsible for the A330 & A350, provides a dynamic and challenging environment encompassing new developments, production support, customer deliveries, and managing in-service aircraft fleets.

About the Role:

As a Project Leader intern, you will assist in managing various projects and tasks within the Landing Gear, Fuel Systems, or Wing domains. You will integrate with diverse stakeholder functions to ensure Programme priorities are met regarding time, cost, quality, and performance. A key aspect of this role involves understanding the principles of Configuration Management that support aircraft modifications. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge, develop your career in a Project Leader role, and gain valuable experience within the Widebody UK Team.

This position offers a chance to understand the broader business operations of Airbus and contribute directly to technical projects and the company's sustainability goals.

What You Will Be Doing:

Reporting to the Programme Management Team in Filton, you will utilize strong communication, facilitation, and coordination skills to ensure clarity among stakeholders for projects within the Widebody UK (A330 and A350) remit. Key activities include:

• Assisting in leading project activities to deliver work packages according to planning, meeting challenging time, cost, and quality objectives.
• Ensuring processes are in place and implemented to provide clear project direction within cross-functional teams.
• Following the Full Change Process to secure aircraft configuration for production and in-service phases.
• Providing regular progress reports and escalating cross-functional issues for resolution.

Key end results will involve managing project costs within budgets, meeting customer expectations, and delivering development and modification projects by their target dates.

Some business travel to other Airbus sites in the UK or abroad may be required.

Requirements:

This placement is exclusively for Undergraduates. You must be enrolled as an undergraduate for the entire duration of the placement. Please specify your graduation date in your application.

Security Clearance:
