Procurement and Supply Chain is central to our operations, ensuring effective management of resources, suppliers, and services to keep projects on track and deliver for our customers. This graduate programme offers the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of how supply chains function on a national and global scale. You will learn about responsible sourcing, supplier relationship management, the application of technology and data, and managing supply chain risks to achieve customer delivery.

This two-year programme combines practical functional experience with leadership development, preparing you for future leadership positions in procurement and supply chain. You will undertake four six-month placements across the UK, covering areas such as source-to-contract, category management, and support for business growth. You will also gain exposure to operational procurement, supplier quality, and logistics & warehousing. Working with diverse teams on key projects, you will contribute to operational success and make a tangible difference for our customers. By the end of the programme, you will have acquired practical skills, valuable experience, and insight into the wide range of career paths available within the company.

You will receive structured support, personalized training, and dedicated mentorship from day one. The Graduate Development Programme includes expert-led masterclasses focusing on communication, personal branding, resilience, and wellbeing.

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will move into a permanent role within the Procurement and Supply Chain team, ready to apply your learned skills in sourcing, supplier relationships, and value chain management to significant projects and partnerships. Career progression is supported through the Babcock Role Framework, providing clear pathways and development opportunities for growth into more senior roles with greater responsibility.

The programme includes a minimum starting salary of £35,000, along with a minimum of 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, generous pension and employee share schemes, and flexible benefits such as a cycle to work scheme and discounts. Wellbeing support covers mental, physical, financial, and social aspects, including an Employee Assistance Programme, digital GP service, and health checks. You will also have opportunities to engage in STEM outreach activities and volunteering.

To apply, you must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a bachelor's or master's degree and demonstrate a clear interest in procurement or supply chain management. Please note that many of our programmes are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions. For this specific programme, you must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance.

Placements for this Group programme may be located across the UK, including Plymouth, Bristol, and Warrington in England, and Rosyth in Scotland. Graduates are expected to be flexible and open to relocation during the programme to support our customer-focused teams. We will consider your preferences while balancing business needs.
