Internship in Production Composites
Airbus Helicopters is offering an internship opportunity (f/m/d) in the field of Composite Production.
Are you looking for an internship and want to gain in-depth knowledge of serial production in fiber composites/composites? Apply now! We look forward to you supporting us in the Production Composites department as an intern (f/m/d).
Location: Donauwörth
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: 5-6 months
In this internship, you will support composite serial manufacturing in the production of complex fiber composite components and the optimization of manufacturing processes and workflows. This internship offers an interesting insight into the serial production and quality assurance of fiber composite components.
Your Location
At the Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the flight-ready product. Experience with us how they take off and land on our own test flight field.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support of composite serial production in daily operations.
- Analysis of quality deviations and determination of countermeasures.
- Analysis and optimization of manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Technical and economic investigations of new auxiliary materials, processes, and equipment.
- Planning and execution of trials.
- Creation of training materials.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications
- Enrolled full-time student (f/m/d) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable field of study.
- Basic knowledge and initial practical experience in fiber composite technology/composites are desirable.
- Proficient in MS Office / G-Suite.
- Strong team player with a structured way of working.
- Fluent German and good English skills.
