About the Role
The Payroll Administrator is a key member of the Enterprise Services team, providing essential support to Employee Services. You will be responsible for delivering planned or requested activities to ensure high-quality service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st line payroll support through phone, email, and direct assistance at the Helpdesk.
- Deliver an excellent level of customer service to all stakeholders.
- Administer payroll for three distinct payroll systems.
- Process all payroll files accurately in line with the payroll schedule and cut-offs.
- Ensure strict compliance with all HMRC regulations, payroll policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain compliance with GDPR regulations, organisational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Liaise effectively with all third-party providers.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant IT applications.
- Proven experience working within a payroll function.
- In-depth understanding of Tax Codes, National Insurance, and Statutory Sick Pay.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- CIPP certification or currently working towards achieving it.
Location and Working Pattern
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, based at our Boscombe Down facility in Salisbury. The position requires an average of 3 days per week onsite.
