The MRO Tool Store Operative role is designed to provide direct control and supervision of tools and aircraft equipment required during Aircraft Maintenance, Major Repairs and Modification work of aircraft transferred to Boeing.
Responsibilities:
The Operations Tool Store Operative is accountable to the Operations Manager/s for the Issue, Control and Maintenance of all tooling and ground support equipment within a defined area of responsibility. Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining a register of movement of all hand tools, test and measuring equipment (TME) and Precision Termination Tools (PTT).
- Implementing the calibration requirements of TME and PTT.
- Ensuring controlled issue and return of all tools.
- Maintaining and administering access to the Tool Control System and application (i.e., CribMaster) and undertaking relevant training.
- Requesting tool asset numbers from the Tool Custodian for all tools and ensuring proper markings of the tools.
- Ensuring all loan tooling arriving on site is brought to the attention of the Operations Tool Store Lead for receipting/registration on CribMaster, in line with required tool control/calibration requirements.
- Carrying out daily open and close (or handover) checks on the main tool store and conducting regular periodic inventory management checks of all tool kits.
- Purchasing replacement/new tools as the business needs arise.
- Carrying out tool store actions for the U/S tool reporting process.
- Ensuring all tools, TME, and PTT requiring calibration are clearly marked with calibration details, and the Tool Control System is kept up-to-date.
- Ensuring toolkits contain an up-to-date toolkit folder (log book) as described in current documentation.
- Quarantining all tools and TME that are damaged or out of calibration. If a tool cannot be placed in secure quarantine, it should be clearly marked as unserviceable, prevented from use, and the Tool Control System updated accordingly.
- Carrying out appropriate actions for the replenishment, control, and management of FLAP accounts and provisions/stores/consumables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Forklift truck Operators Licence.
- The ability to apply both technical knowledge and human factors (HF) knowledge with regard to assessing requirements against individual tasks.
- A good communicator with a demonstrable ability to communicate technical work requirements to others.
- Possesses knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, BDUK Part 145 MOE, aviation Quality Assurance (QA), and Safety Management System (SMS), and their application within their area of accountability, responsibility, and authority.
- Capable of working and communicating effectively with management levels, cross-functional areas, and the customer.
- Experienced in sequencing and controlling demanding workloads, on time, to budget, and to the required standard.

Security Clearance and Eligibility:
This role requires you to undergo a security clearance check (Security Check [SC]).
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
