About the Role
MBDA is seeking a highly skilled Test Subject Matter Expert to join our Manufacturing Test Policy & Processes area. This is a significant opportunity to shape MBDA's operational methodologies within the Manufacturing Technical Experts and Producibility team, influencing projects from their initial concept stages through to series production.
Your Responsibilities
As a Subject Matter Expert, you will be instrumental in:
- Participating in and leading manufacturing test activities for new Manufacturing Programmes.
- Reviewing BID proposals and advising on design for test principles.
- Providing technical input on test facility and equipment design.
- Ensuring the correct implementation and compliance with company processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Offering technical leadership and specialist expertise for current Manufacturing Programmes.
The Team
The Technical Expert and Producibility Team is involved in all facets of manufacturing, testability, and producibility. This includes product design, test equipment design and deployment, and the associated policies, processes, and technical standards. The team collaborates throughout the product life cycle across multiple programmes, establishing effective interfaces with design teams to ensure manufacturing test methods, capabilities, and techniques are considered and implemented.
What We Offer
- Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience.
- Working Arrangement: Dynamic (hybrid) working, requiring 3-5 days per week on-site.
