Manufacturing Services Team Member - Mechatronics

Rolls-Royce has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Services Team Member - Mechatronics to join our team in Washington (UK-BR). This full-time role supports the Manufacturing Services Leader and Engineer in achieving organizational objectives by ensuring the effective operation of manufacturing assets and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks across manufacturing assets and production equipment to ensure they are safe, available, and capable for use.
• Utilize precision diagnostic instruments during maintenance activities.
• Analyze equipment data to inform and implement the most effective maintenance approaches.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data to support Key Performance Indicators for the Manufacturing Services Department.
• Read and interpret machinery and component drawings, circuit/logic diagrams & schematics, maintenance manuals, and parts catalogues for maintenance and diagnostics.
• Identify and recommend improvements to production equipment and maintenance procedures, including researching and implementing enhancements.
• Suggest improvements to work instructions to optimize the electrical installation / maintenance strategy.
• Coordinate preventive and planned corrective maintenance activities with Production Staff, maintaining regular communication with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, and Production Operators.
• Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment performance to standard.
• Support equipment OEM engineers as required.
• Consistently perform asset maintenance to ensure equipment and facilities are safe, reliable, and operate to a high performance standard.
• Support the induction of new team members and cross-training initiatives.
• Apply problem-solving skills and make sound recommendations based on judgment, training, and experience.
• Process Work Orders and pull reports from the Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• Safely operate site-specific equipment as required with appropriate training.

Qualifications:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant time-served apprenticeship.
• HNC qualification is preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles and operation.
• Basic IT literacy.
• Understanding of local and regional HSE Standards and regulations.
