Airbus Defence and Space has opened a position for an Aircraft Manager (Gestionnaire d'aéronefs) for the French Air Force's MRTT fleet, located at the Istres military base in France. While part of the MRO network organization based in Madrid, Spain, this role is deployed on client sites in Istres.
As the Aircraft Manager for the French Air Force's MRTT fleet, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring, customer relationship management, and risk management related to the maintenance of MRTT aircraft at the client's site (Istres) or at key subcontractors' facilities (Nîmes).
Main Activities:
Working within a team, your specific missions will include overseeing the performance and maintenance certification (scheduled and unscheduled) of MRTT aircraft in a customer service environment. The position requires supervision of licensed and unlicensed mechanics, as well as subcontractor personnel.
Your Responsibilities:
- Preparation and management of offers.
- Preparation and advance coordination of maintenance activities.
- Achieving target costs with the required quality level.
- Reviewing and monitoring the schedule (defining recovery plans and rescheduling if necessary).
- On-site client relationship management (progress updates, Q&A, various questions, etc.).
- Risk management, and finalization of documentation in accordance with company and client procedures.
You may be designated as the main contact point (Focal Point) and Airbus representative during maintenance activities. The successful candidate will join the Services department and must demonstrate flexibility for necessary travel related to maintenance activities and working parties.
Missions and Responsibilities:
With the primary mission of directing maintenance work, the candidate will be responsible for the management, coordination, and certification of maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled) for A330MRTT aircraft within the framework of ADS's MRO network organization. The candidate will follow ADS procedures for working party activities regarding management, responsibilities, documentation, and certification.
Required Skills:
- Training in Aeronautical Maintenance.
- EASA Category 'C' license endorsed for the A330.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance work.
- Proficiency in French.
- Advanced English level.
- Availability to work on multiple sites (Istres and Nîmes).
