About the Role

As a Logistics Support Operator at our Minley, Hampshire site, you will play a vital role in supporting military training activities by ensuring the timely availability of the right equipment, resources, and stores. This dynamic defence role directly contributes to the readiness of Armed Forces personnel through the delivery of Combat Engineering Support services.

This is a hands-on position offering a diverse range of responsibilities and the opportunity to make a significant impact daily. Your work will involve managing equipment, supporting training exercises, maintaining stores, and assisting with specialist engineering activities, all of which are crucial for the safe and effective execution of training operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of Combat Engineering Support services, including the transportation, erection, and dismantling of equipment for training activities.
  • Manage the issuing and receiving of equipment, maintain accurate stock levels, and ensure efficient stores management.
  • Perform equipment maintenance activities in line with Army Equipment Support Publications.
  • Address customer inquiries professionally, positively, and enthusiastically.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, resource management, and other operational requirements across the site.

Working Hours and Location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Minley, Hampshire. Standard working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Opportunities for overtime are available in line with business needs.

Essential Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven experience with manual handling in a practical work environment.
  • Ability to swim and perform safely in a physically demanding role.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Experience in logistics, stores, warehousing, or operational support environments is beneficial.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate will be required to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this position.
