We are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Consultant to join our team at our Farnborough site. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology alongside brilliant minds.
As a Junior Cyber Security Consultant, you will be an integral part of the cyber security team, working closely with other professionals and fulfilling the role of Project Core Security as defined by the Project Security Manager on a long-standing project.
Your day-to-day activities will involve assisting, maintaining, and supporting the Security Manager. This includes generating security operating procedures, maintaining security risk assessments, and contributing to Secure by Design artefacts for systems to ensure through-life assurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of project security activities and act as Project Core Security in line with programme requirements.
- Provide guidance on MoD and HMG security policies, standards, and compliance obligations.
- Assist with security risk assessments, Secure by Design activities, and through-life assurance processes.
- Maintain facility certification and support system accreditation and security assurance activities.
- Develop, review, and update security procedures, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Deliver security training and support key security roles, including MoD Custodian and Security Officer responsibilities.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience working within security, information assurance, or cyber security environments.
- Demonstrable experience communicating effectively and collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Previous experience or demonstrable experience managing workloads and delivering agreed tasks to deadlines.
- Prior experience working within MoD environments or a strong interest in defence security and assurance activities.
Essential Qualifications
- STEM degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience.
