About the Role
The Integration and Missile Validation (IMV) team is at the forefront of ensuring MBDA's world-leading weapon systems meet customer requirements and enhance sovereign capability. As an IMV Engineer, you will be integral to the trials and testing activities that provide verification and validation evidence for all missile programmes.
This 2-year graduate programme, starting in September 2027, offers a comprehensive experience across the full product development lifecycle, proving to be a well-rounded IMV Engineer. You will experience many aspects of proving our weapon systems.
What You'll Be Doing
IMV engineers lead real-world test and integration, whether it involves software, hardware, or an entire missile system. Your responsibilities will span the entire product development lifecycle, including:
- Planning and executing tests.
- Conducting laboratory testing.
- Participating in offsite trials.
- Analysing test data and preparing comprehensive reports.
Examples of IMV Activities
You could be involved in a variety of crucial activities, such as:
- Ground Trials: Testing product robustness in various environments (vibration, shock, climatic) to ensure real-world survival and operation.
- Flight Trials: Integrating subsystems onto aircraft to simulate missile behaviour during flight.
- Functional Integration: Demonstrating the seamless operation of hardware and software systems.
- Firing Trials: Conducting final evaluation tests to ensure the full weapon system functions correctly and demonstrating product capability to customers.
- In-Service Support: Testing and monitoring products in use with the customer.

Requirements
Security Clearance: Must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer stage, all successful candidates will undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
