Insurance Risk Manager (m/f)

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an Insurance Risk Manager to join the Finance Department based in Marignane, France. Your future missions:

Part of an international team covering all insurance activities across the entire Airbus Group, you will manage all insurance activities related to entities located in France as well as in other European and non-European countries. The role has a transversal function for all core insurance lines (aviation, property liability, cyber, transport, employee benefit, construction) with the purpose of proactively managing insurable risks, protecting Airbus people, assets and liabilities against financial consequences, considering the specific needs of the business.

Your main missions will be:

• Ensure continuous and consistent identification, evaluation, and assessment of insurable risks across Airbus Helicopters.
• Initiate and monitor appropriate mitigation and risk avoidance measures for identified and evaluated insurable risks.
• Lead the management of claims until full payment in coordination with the business and relevant stakeholders (experts, brokers, lawyers).
• Support the Head of Insurances with the handling of product liability claims managed by Legal and follow up on the financial impact.
• Assure an excellent level of insurance expertise to provide advice and support to all business partners dealing with insurance matters.
• Ensure cross-functional coordination of tasks with other departments (Legal, Programs, Procurement, Sales, HR, site, etc.), subsidiaries, and external stakeholders (brokers and insurers).
• Provide contractual support on insurance conditions to secure the best interests of the business during Mergers & Acquisitions and bid/tender processes in coordination with Legal, ensuring that contractual insurance requirements are consistent with the group's insurance coverage.
• Perform insurance awareness sessions and workshops for different areas of the company, acting as a key point of contact for operational insurance and risk matters.

Your profile:

• Master's degree in Insurance, Business, Law, Finance, or a related field. This is a highly visible expert function requiring solid foundational knowledge in these areas.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operational risk and the insurance field.
• Prior experience in an international environment will be highly appreciated.
• English: Mandatory (fluent/negotiation level).
• French: Prerequisite.
• Soft skills: Reliability, ability to work autonomously and manage multiple topics simultaneously. Pragmatic and proactive approach with strong organizational and communication skills. Capacity to interact effectively with stakeholders from different functions, and the ability to thrive in a small collaborative team environment.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
