Internship Opportunity: Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)
Airbus is seeking a talented and enthusiastic undergraduate student to join the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) team. This placement offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in a diverse and critical function within Airbus, with strong interaction across the UK and global EHS organization. About the Role:
The EHS team is looking for a proactive student to contribute to various EHS activities. You will have the opportunity to work with both the Filton and Broughton sites in the UK, and potentially engage with transnational colleagues, which may involve some travel. This internship is an excellent chance to understand and contribute to the deployment of wider EHS activities and sustainability improvements.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Provide support and gain experience in the daily operations of all EHS functions and their customer base.
- Collaborate with supported teams to drive improvements and synergies.
- Participate in Multi-Functional Teams, including those focused on sustainability.
- Identify and develop enhanced EHS communication channels.
- Support the development, implementation, and optimal use of electronic reporting and monitoring tools.
- Assist in the research, delivery, and evaluation of internal communication campaigns.
Requirements:
This placement is exclusively for undergraduates who will remain students for the entire duration of the internship. A degree in Environment or Geography is preferred, but not limited to these fields. Candidates should possess basic IT system skills (presentation and graphics), be inquisitive, enthusiastic, driven, and confident. The ability to work well in a team, demonstrate initiative, and possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels is essential.
Security Clearance:
This role requires a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. Depending on the specific responsibilities, you may also need to obtain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control clearance.
Additional Information:
This is a 12.5-month internship, commencing on 16 August 2027, with applications closing on 25 October 2026. The role is based in Filton, Bristol, and offers flexible working hours, hybrid options, and half-day Fridays, along with 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
