About the Role
The Engineering Undergraduate Summer Internship offers a unique chance to immerse yourself in the world of advanced engineering and technology at Babcock. You will have the opportunity to work in various technical departments, project management, or production teams, gaining invaluable practical experience.
What You'll Be Doing
You will join one of our specialised engineering discipline teams, including:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Control and Instrumentation
- Systems Engineering
- Integrated Product Support
- Software Engineering
These teams are involved in designing and manufacturing complex engineering solutions such as Weapon Handling and Launch Systems (WHLS) and Air Turbine Pumps (ATP), as well as delivering world-leading military communications and expanding into space and satellite operations.

What You'll Need
- To be studying a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) based degree.
- You must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) security clearance. Please note that eligibility for certain programmes is subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions, which may be impacted by your place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency.
