About the Role

Programme Structure
This is a two-year programme featuring varied placements within the Mission Technologies business. Each rotation is designed to provide fresh perspectives, practical experience, and insight into how different parts of the organisation collaborate. You will explore different areas, gradually taking on more responsibility, from contributing to key projects to leading small initiatives. The programme exposes you to a broad mix of technologies and challenges, helping you build a diverse skill set and identify your strengths and interests.

The Graduate Development Programme includes expert-led masterclasses on communication, personal branding, resilience, and wellbeing. Babcock provides full guidance and covers all associated fees to support your journey toward Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.

Upon completing the programme, you will transition into a permanent role within the Engineering Function, applying and expanding your developed skills. What You Need to Apply
You should have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a BEng, MEng, BSc, or MSc in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, or Computer Science.
This programme requires you to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), Security Check (SC), and Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance. Please note that nationality, citizenship, or residency may impact eligibility due to national security legislation, which may require the post to be occupied by a sole UK national.
Location
Placements are available in Bristol, Plymouth, Ashchurch, Hawthorn, and Oakhanger in England, within Babcock’s Mission Technologies business.
