DOA Management Engineer (d/f/m)

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH is looking for a DOA Management Engineer to join their team in Manching, located north of Munich. This role is crucial for supporting the management and coordination of activities related to Design Organisation Approvals (DOAs) within Airbus Defence and Space. You will be responsible for managing approval processes, ensuring that manuals, procedures, and documentation are properly maintained, updated, and implemented in accordance with all applicable requirements.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Manage approval processes and ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, airworthiness standards, and organisational requirements.
  • Support DOA Management in ensuring compliance with applicable aviation regulations and organisational requirements.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between DOA Management, internal Design Organisation departments, and National Airworthiness Authorities.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, approval, and implementation of DOA manuals, procedures, and controlled documentation.
  • Monitor approval statuses to ensure key actions and deliverables are completed within designated timeframes.
  • Support the implementation of structural changes to Design Organisation procedures and systems.
  • Facilitate proactive communication and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to the DOA system.
  • Maintain rigorous document control and ensure full traceability across all records.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related technical discipline, paired with professional experience in the aerospace industry or a highly regulated environment.
  • Proven experience within an EASA Part 21J Design Organisation or airworthiness environment, with strong knowledge of German Defence Airworthiness regulations and Design Organisation Approval (DOA) requirements.
  • Experience working with manuals, procedures, approvals, and controlled documentation.
  • Hands-on expertise with controlled documentation, including the preparation, maintenance, and management of DOA manuals, procedures, and compliance records.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance frameworks in aviation.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, characterized by a structured, methodical approach to work and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and authorities.
  • Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken).
