Join us as a Cyber Security Consultant at one of our UK sites (Portsmouth, Farnborough, Malvern, Amesbury, Lincoln, or Bristol) and collaborate with brilliant minds on cutting-edge technology.
As a Cyber Security Consultant, you will work with customers to understand and advise on cyber security vulnerability, risks, audit & compliance within business and operational contexts, as well as understanding the cyber security threat environment.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day, you will be involved in a multitude of cyber security activities, including:
- Generating business risk models.
- Managing audit processes.
- Conducting cyber security vulnerability analysis.
- Identifying and articulating mitigations for cyber risks.
- Developing cyber security risk cases for customers.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Applying cyber security frameworks and industry standards, including NIST and ISO27001, to support risk assessments and security assurance activities.
- Assisting with the identification, assessment, and documentation of cyber security risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies across systems and business processes.
- Supporting security accreditation, compliance, and governance activities, helping organisations understand and manage cyber risk effectively.
- Engaging with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate findings, and present clear security recommendations.
- Building knowledge of digital technologies, computer networks, and cyber threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to support security analysis and decision-making.
- Contributing to cyber security projects within government, defence, and critical national infrastructure environments, working independently while seeking guidance and development opportunities when required.
Essential Experience:
- Previous experience in security vulnerability, risk, audit & compliance.
- Digitally literate, including fluency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Previous experience applying/working to relevant NIST and ISO27001 frameworks and standards.
Essential Qualifications:
- STEM degree or equivalent, or relevant experience.

Working Hours and Location:
This role is 37 hours per week, based at either our Portsmouth, Farnborough, Malvern, Amesbury, Lincoln, or Bristol site. A minimum average site attendance of three days per week is required. Customer travel will also be necessary.
