Configuration Manager
Rheinmetall Electronics UK Ltd is seeking a dedicated Configuration Manager to join our team in Bristol. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and consistency of our systems, software, and infrastructure throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration Management: Own the REUK CTTP Configuration Management Plan, implement and oversee processes, tools, and methods to ensure data consistency, and manage data repositories including access control.
- Change Management: Manage change control for REUK deliverables and actively participate in Omnia Change Control Boards to assess the impact of change requests.
- Release Management: Collaborate with the CTTP Quality Assurance Engineer to prepare for and manage the release of deliverables, including storing associated documentation and tracking its receipt.
- Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct audits to verify compliance with configuration policies and provide status reporting on baselines, design changes, discrepancies, and concessions.
- Tools Management: Oversee internal configuration tools and establish the process for using the Omnia Configuration Management Database.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, DevOps, and engineering teams to maintain consistency across environments and provide training and support on configuration management practices and tools.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in configuration management within a complex environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplined teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with various configuration management tools.
- In-depth understanding of Configuration Management Standards, including DEFSTAN 05-57, DEFSTAN 05-61, and ISO10007.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
