Commercial Intern - Bristol

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We are seeking a Commercial Intern to join our Bristol-based Commercial Team within Boeing Defence United Kingdom. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in commercial operations supporting our UK MoD customer.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will work closely with experienced team members, initially through job shadowing and progressing to undertaking supervised activities and independent responsibilities. This role is based in Bristol and starts in July 2027.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support proposal development and negotiation for contract change proposals.
  • Manage the administration of the change process.
  • Shadow meetings with the external customer.
  • Attend meetings with internal programme stakeholders to address contract deliverables and manage progress.
  • Maintain excellent records and perform commercial administration for all aspects of contracts.
  • Learn various approaches to problem-solving under contract, from evaluating contractual positions to creating innovative commercial solutions.
  • Build strong working relationships and develop good business judgment to protect the business, support customer needs, and deliver value for money.
  • Review, interpret, negotiate, and apply contractual terms in relation to programme activities.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and work with stakeholders to leverage best outcomes.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the UK. Boeing does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently studying or have graduated a degree course within the last 2 years in Business, Law, Finance, or a similar field. No minimum degree grade or GPA score is required.
  • Confidence and willingness to present and host meetings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A forward-thinking, self-motivated mindset.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high focus on quality outputs.
  • An inclusive and enthusiastic attitude.
