Role Overview
An exciting new role has emerged within the Actuation Systems Centre of Excellence Servo domain, looking for an experienced engineer to lead the development of complex dynamic systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge defence technology.
What We're Looking For
- Degree qualification or equivalent experience with significant mathematical content (e.g., Control Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science).
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of dynamic systems and mathematical modelling, including mechanical systems, motor and feedback systems (e.g., sensors).
- Experienced user of MATLAB & Simulink tools.
- Proven experience in process improvement and contributing to a continuous improvement culture.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and network effectively.
- Proven ability to validate mathematical models using real-world hardware performance data.
- Ability to generate sub-system or component requirements to support system architecture development.
- Proficiency in conducting Monte Carlo simulations to assess product performance and reliability across a range of stochastic variables and expected manufacturing tolerances.
- Ability to justify and support production test limits.
What We Offer
- Salary: Between £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site.
- Company bonus: Up to £2,500 (based on company performance).
